Scientific Interest

I am a joint student between the Walter and Douglas labs. I am interested in exploring applications of DNA nanotechnology in structural studies of proteins in the Unfolded Protein Response (UPR).

Current Research Interests

(1) Defining oligomeric state of IRE1 using DNA origami. (2) Structural studies of the UPR effector Hac1 with electron cryo-microscopy.

Former Lab Affiliations

2010-2013 Dr. Lionel Cheruzel – Undergraduate Student, San Jose State University
2012 Dr. Iswar Hariharan – Amgen Scholars Summer Student, University of California, Berkeley

Education

2013 B.S. Biological Sciences – San Jose State University, USA
2013-Present Ph.D. – University of California, San Francisco, USA
